Hello, my friends, and welcome! Thank you for joining us on this wonderful evening-morning-whatever-wherever-you-may-be! Take a gander at our guest of honor —

You may notice they’re a li’l’ less…well, prone to aggression, shall we say? We’ve kept ‘em busy with a fair amount of “Cartoon Network Reruns” gathered over the course of the past few months to keep ‘em all comfortable-like!

and some textbooks on crabs and other ocean stuff. tati helped us grab those.

Yes! She and Mallory Jane are off doing...what are they doing again? Oh, it's always something! You're bound to run into them soon!

Are you ready to play a game?

yneos.... nyoe.s

Wahoo! Let’s get started.

Today, we’ll be borrowing from the Surrealists again! Figured they inspired the makin' of this thing, they can help us sort it out. They sure are Exquisite, but here's hopin' we don't end up with a Corpse on our hands!

will. not funny.

he knows what he's doing and we're gonna get you out of here. but you have to hold still. ok?

Now, if there was one thing those Surrealists loved, it was games!

Association!

Chance!

Play!

Collaboration!

They took simple children’s games and reinvented them to take a look at our innermost consciousness.

How do we get past our inhibitions, our fear, our premeditation to the truest, unaffected, gen-u-ine thoughts in our mind? How do we probe at that — in a fun, harmless way?

harmless being the most important word there.

“Automatism”! Words and images and whatnot left up to chance and association! These games encourage us to make without thinking. Just do what our minds are naturally drawn towards! And what we make may just reveal the things about ourselves not even we know!

or stuff we don't remember, anyway. to be honest i'm not sure any of us even have a subconscious. but we sure are about to find out.

Through this game, we’ll encourage the creature to open their mind.

Hear that? Be receptive as possible! Freely associate! Let everything inside bubble up to the surface!

This way, we’ll get to really see what bits of Zeke and Claire are lurking inside where. Besides, I hear their generation prized “randomness", so I figure a propensity for chance-based games will come naturally!

Let’s make sure their minds — mind? Minds? are feeling as receptive as possible. S’pose this environment’s a li’l’…clinical. Let’s make it feel more like a salon at an old pal’s apartment, shall we?

All right! Down to business. The main thing in our way is untangling Zeke from Claire.

we can add some jams. give them something to focus on.

Yes! I've got just the thing.

Let there be light!.png
What a lovely color!.png

or claire from zeke. boy, it's nice to say their names again.

can you guys hear me?

guess that's a yes.

This is the first step. Think of it as a sort of diagnostic. We wanna calibrate which bits of this — creature — are more Zeke, and which bits are more Claire.

they're all kinda jumbled up in there right now. not pretty.

Now, I’ve heard you lot mention talking to one of ‘em hurts the other, and Henry’s told me we want as little hurt as possible in this process. We need your help comin’ up with some prompts that one twin might unconsciously respond to more than the other!

like, i think if we can sneak past the twin that would get hurt by what we're saying to it, we can still access the one that needs to hear it. and that's where we need help.

The process is simple. You’ll send in a prompt, we’ll show it to the creature and wait for their response, and then you help us categorize it!

Hopefully, by the end of this hour, we’ll have enough snippets of a distilled Zeke-unconscious and a Claire-unconscious to know more about what we’re dealing with.

during that time, will and i will be keeping them calm, doing some physical (as physical as we can get on here) rewiring, and picking apart along the lines you make for us. we can't touch them the way you all can. not without getting hurt. so this will help keep us both safe.

We’ll only be able to hold ‘em for so long, but figure we can give ‘em as many prompts as we can during that time! But make ‘em count. We wanna grab enough fodder as we can to puzzle out where one wants to end and the other wants to begin!

are you guys okay with that?

wwiilllliitthhuerltp??

i think so.

ppllleeaassee.

Very well!

Let the game begin!

Let's see what they've gotta say!

Some kinda mistake there! Give it another go.
